One of the most easiest way to get a sip-uri is to visit http://www.numbox.fr/ .

This site is in french and when you need translation to english just use : babelfish.yahoo.com/

Enter your email address in the box and press "Envoyez moi mon numero"

Now you get an email with your sip settings consist of:

- 4 digits account number (e.g. 1234)

- 4 digits account password (e.g. 5678)

- server information (numbox.fr)

You can use this information to set-up your ATA or softphone (x-lite is freeware softphone)

Everybody can contact you by:

1) calling your sip-uri: "1234@numbox.fr" with e.g. google talk

2) dialing a sipbroker PSTN number + numbox-code + numbox number
